Außer wenn ich mal über Persönlichkeiten des öffentlichen Lebens schreibe (was selten vorkommt), nenne ich keine Namen und verwende auch sonst keine PERSONENBEZOGENEN Daten, also solche, die auf die Person schließen lassen.
Allerdings kann ich WordPress.com nicht vorschreiben, wie sie ihre Funktionen zu gestalten haben. WordPress.com ist eine amerikanische Seite. WordPress.de unterliegt sicher dem DEUTSCHEN (und damit dem EU-)Datenschutz. WordPress.com wird wie Facebook sich dagegen wehren, dass deutsches Recht angewandt wird. Ich kann den Seitenanbieter nicht dazu zwingen – höchstens meinen Blog von .com auf .de verlagern, was ich eigentlich vermeiden möchte. Nicht aus gesetzlichen, sondern aus rein praktischen Gründen. Ob ich von der einen auf die andere Plattform wechseln kann und alles erhalten bleibt, weiß ich nämlich nicht. Es könnte auf einen Neustart hinauslaufen, den ich vermeiden möchte.
Ihr seid jedenfalls gewarnt, Eure von WordPress gespeicherten Daten beim Zugriff auf mein Blog kann ich nicht kontrollieren. Sonst würd ICH ja nur das speichern, was Ihr gespeichert haben wollt: Benutzername und den Kommentar mit der Zeit. Und ich würde solche Daten nicht weiter verbreiten.
Nun muss ich mich schlau machen, was ich noch an Einstellungen für Euren Schutz vornehmen kann, um größtmöglichen Schutz einzuräumen.
*Ist das eigentlich gewollt, dass mit der neuen Datenschutzrichtlinie Privatleute mundtot gemacht werden?*

Ich blogge jetzt ein Jahr – und lerne immer noch 😉 Gerade habe ich gelernt, dass ich einen Spam-Ordner habe. Und dass zur Zeit Kommentare in Spam-Ordnern verschwinden, die kein Spam sind.

I wish I could read your blog. Every time I click over here, I keep hoping I’ll suddenly be able to read German. Oh well.
Since I started it in German and have german readers I dare not change the language to English now. I am sorry you cannot read my ramblings about the sourness and overhypedness of Champagne … which was my last entry. I do prefer a sparkling wine from Spain to Champagne. I had not drunk since 2002 in January but somebody gave me a bottle of Champagne for my birthday (must have been 2012) – and I wanted to know if I was remembering right that that stuff is not worth the money they ask for. I was right – the bottle of Lanson took me 5 days to empty. I mixed it with juice to be able to drink it. I liked secco – but I do not like sour – secco is DRY, not sour – and that is why I will not love Champagne. And now back to my alcohol-calories-less days. It was not worth all the stomach ache … *that about sums up what I said on my last blog entry*
Interesting! No alcohol in over ten years and then to drink something sour. Surely not an enticement to continue with those empty calories. Thank you for the recap. I’m going to try a translator on some of your posts. That should be great fun.
Well, a common habit on NYE to drink sparkling wine – and since I had that stuff standing around I thought I could give it a try – maybe the last one I had was just a cheap Champagne (yea, that is possible – think discounters), this one could have been higher quality? That was my hope – nope, it was just the same sour thing as it was years ago. And my taste has not changed. Dry anytime – sour – not!

Sorry, Bovine Ordure, I do not know more than you, but I think he is in end of life care, due to his recurring cancer. Sometimes he has longer absences because of treatment in hospital, but it could sadly always be that he died.

Will do, though one of his last posts already sounded like a goodbye. Some time ago he told us readers (long time ago) that if life was not worth it any more he would consider ending it himself. I don’t know if that is what happened here. But if he were half way fit he would write his blog. Duncan has been one of the most dedicated bloggers I know. Only illness or one time getting together with the woman of his dreams made him miss posting.
I think so too. The last email he sent me (after that comment you refer to) sounded like a goodbye to me too. I just want to know for sure for closure in my mind. Thanks for the response franhunne4u. Much appreciated.
